Medical acid peeling
An acid peel, usually in the form of a fruit acid or glycolic acid peel, is a cosmetic treatment in which acids are applied to the skin. These acids break down the bonds between dead skin cells and promote their removal, leading to skin renewal. This refines the complexion, reduces blemishes, wrinkles and pigmentation spots, stimulates cell renewal and improves the skin's ability to retain moisture. Depending on the type and strength, medical acids can penetrate the skin to varying depths.
